I think shelvey has better eye for pass and is more comfortable attacking as seen in maxi 2nd the other night! Bellamy and maxi seem to have great understanding but never really play in same startin 11! What's other peoples taughts on shelvey?

If we're playing 4-4-2 with Gerrard as a CM then Shelvey is on the bench. He's not good defensively, and Gerrard needs a reliable defensive partner so that he can bomb forward at will.

I'm not the biggest Shelvey fan yet, i think he gives up possession a little too often red for danger, red for power. -Bill Shankly

But with any other RB I think Downing must play on the left where he is generally better and needs to make up for Enrique's poor delivery.
