Director of football, responsible for the ludicrous fees paid even if hard for the complete Kenny bashers to accept. It may be difficult for many in modern day Britain to get their heads around but it's called responsibility for your actions gentleman.

I think what this shows is fsg have balls and will be strong when needed

He would have been trying to bring new players to the club in January and would have certainly had targets. Can you really see a temporary manager deciding who to buy? no really. So in my view Carroll and Suarez are commolli's signings.

Come the summer after Kenny was poointed your guess is as good as mine. I always feel Downing was a Kenny signing but the rest who knows. If Kenny stays then clearly FSG feel most of the blame for signings lies with Commolli.

The only snippet of dicontent I have heard from inside was the Phil Jones thing. Dalglish used his influence at Blackburn to make us front runners for 6weeks or so yet Commolli let him slip away when negotiating the fee, not a falling out but disapointment at the club.

just read kenny's statement and his digging a whole for himself

not really, he wants everyone in the squad to feel valued. Commolli was quite popular with those who were signed during his time. It's only natural that they may feel that because of performances they were not really wanted by Kenny.

it will be interesting to see if this means a change of approach and structure for the club, or if they intend to replace him with another director of football.
