we have all thought and many still do believe liverpool football club have some sort of god given right to win leagues and play in the champions league and attract the very best , well sorry we havent got it and havent had it for a long time , yes as this season we have won trophies but no league for over 20 years a sucession of failed managers including benitez who isnt immune from this all though people would like to , millions wasted , fans living in bubble were all is great and all is well , well its far from it , i believe we all need to take stock , the club , the managment and us fans , yes we can all dream wish and hope all fans do from the lowest to the top , but reality must start to come into play with all of us , we dont win league's no more we dont play in the champions league , we are a mid to top table english premier league team ok on its day also very bad on its day .

It seems me if we fans dream of winning the League,CL,we are deluded,if we dare to say we are a mid table team we are lacking ambition,if we enjoy a cup win then we are papering over the cracks! what else is there?.
Oh and forgot to mention dare we ever revel in our great history we as fans are living in the past,i think that covers everything now!

I do respect you and your threads very much mate, but I cannot bring myself to accept this and never will.
With the right structure and management team we can win the league, I have no doubt.

U could of said that about man united, in the early nineties, b4 they started to dominate.English football.

Football goes in cycles, we had our time, united r coming to the end of theirs, if
City can win the epl title this season, it will.b their time.
and the team that concerns me next year is Wenger team, if he starts spending serious money on 3/4 quality players in the summer, they will b a force for years to come, their team is very very young and talented.

If our owners make the right choices in the summer ie new manager, big kitty, then I believe our time will come again

Don't agree with this am with heggy on this...we need a new manager and he needs the 100m that Kenny has blown to sh!t.

Unfortunately I think that FSG will not open the purse strings..for the next campaign and well be asking the improbable from a new manager, as they will have to get the best out the utter sh!te Kenny has brought in.

I hope that is not the case we have moved on a lot of players and to invest 100m to replace and rebuild is not a lot in today's market

If Mr Henry signs the right manager in the summer,
I think with a kitty of 60m, plus money from.player sales ie Johnson, fabio, maxi, kuyt, aqua, Cole, spearing, Carroll, hendo etc etc
he will put together a very strong starting 11, with a talented squad full of young, up coming players, who can also be signed on a bosman and signed from 5/8m each,
with some older players, who can be signed on a bosman free, on two yr deals.

A smart manager needed who has very very good football contacts worldwide.
