As Mr Ayre has so kindly said, even though we are going to make champions league, it will not affect our transfer budget.
Unfortunately Mr Ayre does not realize that our pulling power will be affected by the lack of champions league action next season

I think it would be good to target players whose clubs look like they could be going down.

I think some of the players from the list below could actually strengthen our squad.

stephen fletcher (fourth stiker alongside bellamy and carroll, suarez)

Matt Jarvis (winger to replace kuyt)

Victor moses (winger to replace kuyt)

Al habsi (potential reina replacement)

Chung yung lee (to replace adam and also give us marketing abiltiy in South Korea )

Mark Davies (to replace maxi rodrieguez)

Alejandro Faurlin (to give back up until lucas returns)

Shaun wright phillips (another option at right wing)

David Hoilett can play anywhere across midfield and up front)

Paul Robinson (potential reina replacement)

you can't sign all but I seriously think we should look into signing some of these players.

Dalglish is staying, and next year we will need a better squad.

I think them players are the level we are at i am sad to say

I just hope that we don't pay massively over the odds for them, i mean lets be serious we are getting the quality foreign players because of no champions league football

If these are the level of players we are looking at then I think we can say Goodbye to Champions League football for the next 5 years....

I just think we have to be realistic no big foreign players will come to a club that isn't challenging for league titles and who aren't in champions league

These are mid-table players. Apart from hoilett, I'll shudder if we sign any of them. I can't imagine rafa blowing our budget on players of these quality if he was at helm.

yes but who else will come we have to be realistic people and face facts

I not saying we should sign these players but it will be the level player that we shall attract. That is going to be one of the repercussions of finishing outside top 4

I think he actually said, "finishing outside of the top 4 will not affect our transfer POLICY".......you can read into that anything you like. Our policy seems to be to buy average british talent so that isn't going to change. The amount we spend though may or may not have anything to do with policy - he could easily slash the transfer budget by half but still stick to the 'british' policy. The only thing we DO know is that the policy does not include signing quality foreign players at reasonable prices, so in other words next year won't be much different. Besides, hasn't kenny already said it would take one hell of a player to get into the current team!??!! Maybe he feels we don't need to buy anyone. We were desperate for players in January and he signed no one then, so don't expect too much this summer.

The more than comes out of LFC the more depressed I get this is a club heading nowhere fast. To be honest I had seen the great years and I now see a coroporate thing trying to screw money out of people run by people and a manager I don't respect. I am a bad supporter then? depends on your viewpoint mine is I want whats best for the club and I want rid of these jokers by thar I mean Dalglish and the manageme nt board. From what I hear both are not long for this world both king kenny and ayre. Henry will I hope start to excercise more direct control shift dalglish out and appoint his own management board possibly one or two americans on there with experience of moving things forward. I see both ayre and Dalglish as interim and bad ones at that.
