no one is saying foreign or out of town supportera are not welcome , but for dunk to say that the likes of me a season ticket holder since 1977/78 season been all over europe and this country through thick and thin been to 6 of our 7 european cup final plus every final the team has been in including replays since 1977/78 season that a person who has chosen to support an english teams and because of liverpool's success decided to support liverpool is the same as me , well sorry dunk your very wrong , i welcome all to anfield and go in the salisbury after the game and talk and drink with the people who have been for the first time and enjoy there company , but my opinion is this about foreign and out of town supporters they are only interested in the game , not the city or its people , example after the arsenal game in lothair road a group of liverpool supporters foreign possibly spanish laughing and taking pictures of the empty houses , i confronted them and asked why they find it funny they couldnt answer they said sorry , i said support the club and support the city as well but they didnt listen just walked off by the way they spoke good english so understood my point , i just wish if people who choose to be part of the LFC family not only just support the team on the pitch but support all aspects of liverpool/merseyside and the north west as for me liverpool football club would not be what it is without the people of liverpool/merseyside and the north west as for me they go hand in hand , now i respect dunk and his view no problem as he is right about all are welcome very much so , but i also am entitled to my view as a liverpool supporter and a citizen of the city of liverpool to my opinion . Well, they aren't all like that. I couldn't get tickets to Anfield when I was studying in the UK, but my time in Liverpool was the highlight of my trip. Beautiful city with lovely, honest, good-humored people. Reminded me a lot of the city I go to school in. Bandwagon glory hunters who just want that should go support Manure or Chelsea. I chose Liverpool because of the Liverpool way, not their trophy cabinet. Maybe I'm not typical, but I hate glory hunters that make other oot supporters like myself look bad.

Am I missing something with this glory hunting lark? surely if you were a glory hunter Man Utd would be your thing? Other than instanbul (and that was against the odds) we last won the title 20 years ago. It would have to be a pretty misguided glory hunter to follow us.

So if a person from Liverpool laughed at the houses what then? There are idiots from all over the world including liverpool I'm sure. But there are a lot of decent people who support Liverpool through thick and thin.

I think the term gloryhunting thing does'nt just mean the success part, it also takes into consideration the fame side, although we are no longer a really big Club, the brand name is still one of the biggest in the world football wise and this is what the fans attatch themselves too. Can I just ask, people seem to be talking about it being wrong to separate fans and where they come from, what are peoples thoughts about the Basque teams in Spain only signing Basque players or Yorkshire Cricket team only signing people born in Yorkshire it's not that long ago since this was common practice, dont know if it still is, is that wrong too.

Ahhh the Salisbury, I have had some good pre match beers in there. I remember trying to have a leak in the the little boys room once, When some woman was standing behind me trying to sell me a block of cheese. £5 quid it cost me and it was out of date!!......I was bursting at the time and the fella next to me told me to buy it or she would pester me all night!!
