In 5 years time. If were not filling 60-80k seats every 2nd week were dead. Ffp + acquiring more money will put us way behind unless we generate stadium revenue. I feel its more important than ecl....

Where we are in 5 years is all down to John Henry. Get the new stadium built put money in the team success on the field (champpions league qualification plus title contenders) then we are on course to be one of the top clubs in Europe. If we carry on on our current trajectory then I would say mid table and falling in placings year by year. Its all down to John to take the lead and to get things moving.

But higher Stadium revenues will also generate higher Stadium costs! The economic result of it is what counts (i.e. revenues - costs).

I feel that CL qualification must be prio 1, because without that each and every season we just can't attract top notch players.

Top notch players and the following positive results on the pitch will in turn see to that any Stadium will be filled be it a 45k or 80k seater!

A new stadium would be great though, if we are able to fund for one. Anfield was great, but we need to move on. We need to get more attendance and more support, if a 40, 000 stadium has a great atmosphere imagine the impact a 60,000-70,000 stadia would have.

not everything is down to CL qualification , take arsenal for example every year they qualifiy year in year out , but havent won the league havent won the CL havent won nothing , and dont buy top players i think a lesson must be learned its not just going to be all well if liverpool finish in a CL position far from it in fact .

problem is people think all problems will be solved just be finishing 4th , at the moment we have a manager who has no track record in europe as a manager , a squad with a lot of it with no european experience at all so if CL qualification is the fixer to all woes then people are way off the mark .

One of Arsenal's problems is that they have put all their money into that new stadium. No money left for reinvestment in the squad. Plus they have a stubborn manager who hardly wants to buy ready made players, but has more faith in 17 year old upstarts!

Agreed there, but Ceteris Paribus on avergae it has to be a bigger chance of succeding if you have more money available to sign the players you really want, in contrast to the Downing's, Adam's and Henderson's of this world (even though hardly any of those were on a massive discount)...

Also it has to be easier (and relatively more cheapish) to persuade a player to come and play for LFC if we're in the CL, right?
