About time as you say. You get reminded about the tax so why not the MOT?
On a brighter note for me, my shitte stick of a BMW passed today after failing last week for a high lambda reading. My engine, it seems, has a different spec to other cars but went through on the standard spec anyway.
Time to move it on now so any recommendations?

Depends what sort of motor car you want really Wilkiomondo lad? Lexus always rate very highly in the JD...or whatever they're called, Power survey. Toyota are pretty good on reliabilty, but if you just want basic down to earth VFM, I rate good ole James Mays fave, Dacia!

Checked my MOT expiry date a few weeks ago as i had a feeling it was coming up and it was.. the next bloody day.. Thankyou.
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

Trouble is, they're ALL so bloody complicated now. If it's out of warranty, and you're on yer own, then they can bankrupt you. I'm loving classic car ownership tbh, but once again, you have to be careful, and choose summat that parts are readily available for, specialists for when it all goes tits up, and ease to werk on...relatively. Immense fun, and you DO get more respect and patience shown by other sheeple motorists too...FACT

It just happens. Human nature. My only fear is if they share the mobby number of e mail addy with spamming shytesters. Nowt said to the contrary, so can only hope it's not just a way of personal info gathering

Moggy, Mini, MGB or most performance Fords are the best classics for ease of parts imo. Got a moggy (undergoing restoration) and a proper Mini in the Growler fleet currently. Mk1 Festa too, but parts are becoming a pita, especially as it's not a performance version

It’s cost me a small fortune this year so something a bit cheaper to fix would be nice. Has to be big enough for the dog too even if he is old and might not last too long. There’s lots out there so knowing what’s best is hard. Petrol or diesel is another question. I think I might just do enough mileage for a diesel but am worried what might happen with the tax on them. Liking the look of the Pug 3008 today.

Yup. Been thinking Lexus Wilks lad.
Not well up on their range, but right there at the top of the reliabilty stakes.
Of course, you do have the other up and coming contenders now too, with BIG warranties, Hyundai with 5 years, and Kia with a whopping 7. I dare say 'terms and conditions WILL apply however, so read the small print, as always

Liking the look of the Pug 3008 today. I like French cars for their adventurous designs, mainly Citroen. Never given me any problems in the past when I had them, but I appreciate the French stuff have got a poor reliability record, bit like the Italian stuff with dodgy electrics and flimsy interiors

I think Pug have lost their way a bit on the design front, and they've stopped producing that gorgeous RCZ now too! Absolute travesty. It wasn't making them enough munnies apparently.
