Miss G recently passed her driving test. However, the astonomical eye watering and almost unbelievable cost of insurance has thus far prevented her from driving a single inch on the public highway on her own yet. eek

The only idea I came up with after literally hours and hours of research online and on the 'phone, was to purchase an example the ONLY car that is available to insure for a 'mere' £600, as opposed to the crazy 2 grand upwards for ANYTHING else.
What is this delight that 'Footmman James' will let her loose in for that 'small change'?

A MOGGY MINOR!!! laugh

I thinks to meself, ok, I'll buy one and just use it myself to take around the classic car shows that I frequent in the summer months, the rest of the time she can use it and look (IMO) a REAL cool chick.

I was virtually laughed out of Growler Towers. mad cry

That's gratitude for yer,and yes a cool look IMO too.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

It's an ageless design, bit like the Mini in that respect.
Found a reasonably tidy one that's had loads done to it for just over 2 grand. Not concourse, but you don't want that sort of minter for every day use.
I could even have maintained it for her, being a 'carburretor, plugs points and condensor' man.

I was absolutely staggered tbh.
She's accept a Mini or a Beetle however.
They aren't on the list though my lickle petal. eek

So, for the forseeable future, Dads Taxis will have to continue operating. mad

My grandad had the traveller,I think it made about four round trips to Rome before it was laid to rest.

Well yes, and i may agree to a certain extent (always luved and wanted a Moggy though tbh) but it's NOT on the list for cheap insurace.
A VW Beetle would cost nearly as much to insure as the friggin sh1tty Fiat Cunto that she'd rather have, which just proves my point and long standing belief, that wimmins know ABSOLUTELY NOWT about mowters...AT ALL. eek

Give me strength.

Finally a thread I can really have some input on! I'm a total petrol head.

I've had my eye on one of these babies for a while now, just can't make up my mind if i want one in crimson red or baltic blue. What do you think?
