To be honest I think henderson is a perfect professional. Although hes young he clearly has his head in the right place, hes focused, he works hard and he has ability.
He doesn't try too hard or try to be flash (Adam) but he does the important things well. I think its his desire & fitness thats got him this far, hes not a gifted (everything comes naturally) type of player. Hes the kind of player that will continue to get better and better becuase he is comitted, works hard and physically able. A grafter.
He has ability to become a great player and I personally think he will because of his focus to do well. Hes the kind of player that if you tell him to do something he will just do it (like Lucas). Its far too early to judge him right now.
a far view point, the lad is 21 and has excellent control, movement and passes with both feet comfotably. I think he has improved alot since the start when he was very safe in his passing. I think he has 4 assists which is decent, and he was considered Sunderlands best player and big hope last season.
However the view point of many is correct - at a glance we were probably expecting more for such a price be 12-16mil. If anything typifies our transfer strategy it is Henderson - young but has some experience, mosts assists last season at his club, athletic, great stamina and good fitness record. he will be a very good player if we allow time.
