Gutted that chavs, arse or spurs didn't meet each other. +1. Was hoping we'd get a decent draw and 2 of those would be drawn against each other. We got a decent draw though, so that's the most important thing.

I continually wonder at the wisdom of the draw. How many of those games will make good viewing for the neutral? The EPL teams should start a round later and be prevented from drawing each other in that round. I'm sure that would make the competition a whole lot more interesting.

But that's the magic of the FA cup in itself. They're always looking for the Northamptons to dump LFC out of the FA cup at anfield in the 3rd round!

Yeah, they don't often park the bus like Stoke do!
That makes it a bigger chance for us to excel at home then in the PL!

Perhaps I'm old fashioned. It's good to see these lower league sides. You usually end up with a lot of passion, the odd dramatic knock out of a big side, and plenty of goals. I'm all for the drama, but the while the last few FA Cup finals have not lacked passion, they have lacked quality. Take nothing away from the performances of Portsmouth and Cardiff in reaching the final, but if the FA Cup wants to continue to be a big competition it needs more Arsenal vs Liverpool humdinger finals.

Brighton brings back memories from last time we faced them for me back in 1983, getting crushed in the Kop first Sunday game I can ever remember, Jimmy Case pile driver knocking us out and our old favourite Jimmy Melia running around the pitch. I can also remember facing then the very next season away at the old Goldstone ground in 1984, they beat us comfortably 2-0 knocking us out again. I wont leave it there though as Can remember playing them back in the early 90's at Anfield in the F.A.Cup fourth round again I think we were lucky to salvage a 2-2 draw at Anfield before knocking them out in a reply down at there place about 3 days later, happy days.
