Would love to see Sow if possible but after the game against City, do we really need another striker, even temporarily?
This season Craig Bellamy has really been looked at as a winger as opposed to a striker, yet leading the line (alone) this morning he was incredible! Honestly, if we need anything now it's a defensive midfielder and pacey wide men.
Up front we really have Suarez, Carroll, Bellamy and Kuyt (although I wouldn't be too upset to see the latter leave) as well as obviously Adam Morgan etc in our reserves.
If the Krasic rumours are true, I would love to see him come in on loan with a possible permanent deal, depending on performances, being done in the summer.
If this Texeira deal has been done I'll be over the moon but don't think he should be rushed into the squad.
I think we all saw this morning that Stevie shouldn't be playing that holding role and we may need to get someone in there temporarily until Lucas is fit. Keep in mind that Kenny wont play Bellemy for too many games straight becasue of his knees. And Suarez is still banned. That means our strike options for Sat against the scum are Carroll or Kuyt. To me that would suggest we really could use an extra striker. Cross ur fingers Bellers pulls up alright to play at the weekend

This window wasn't always in, was it? Is it just me or about 15 years ago, were teams allowed buy players pretty much any time?

Apparently there was a bid made for Carroll from a premier league club but it fell far below our valuation of the player and was rejected immediately! Interesting....

Yes, we absolutely, 100% need another striker. Kuyt's time has passed. Carroll's time will never come. Bellamy is not a long-term solution. And Suarez can't carry the goal-scoring burden by himself. If we don't sign a striker during this window, I think the board will have failed us. And if we sign Alex Hleb, I will punch my own face.

Yeah I heard that too. We won't sell Carroll in this window. No chance. We need to sign a striker, not sell one.

newcastle have been linked with a loan deal for elia from juventus on F365
apparently he's only played 2 games since he signed for them in the summer.
from what i've seen of him in the world cup he looks like a pacey winger we could be missing. i'd take a shot at him on loan, give us another option we are missing from the bench.
no doubt he will need lots of games to be match fit though. there must be a reason he isn't getting a game there but it must be hard to judge him having only made 2 starts all season

Surely if he's only played 2 games for Juventus this season, there's a reason for that? The Premier League is a tougher league than Serie A - not sure i'd want a player who can't get a game there.
