Lille usually play with Sow on his own, but that's mostly because they have to jam Hazard, Pedretti, Obraniak, Cole, Mavuba, Payet, etc. into their midfield. To be honest I can see him forming a fine partnership with Carroll or Suarez. He's much better than Carroll on the ball and surprisingly quick. Not to mention, he's strong and powerful, so (theoretically) he and Carroll could almost play the role of target-man/poacher both act as battering-rams if need be. Or he could form a more traditional big man/little man act with Suarez, but with the added bonus that he has pace and is technically skilled. I think he could give us a certain amount of flexibility, which is nice.
But I don't want to get too far ahead of myself here. I'm glad Sow seems to want to play for us but I haven't heard that any official overtures have been made on our end.
