Mourinho would expect a lot of money, would stay for 2 years and probably fall out with everyone he could and bugger off to PSG. If he really wants to be an all-time great though, what better way than to come to Liverpool and finally put us back on top? If he's anything about him, he'd prefer us to Manure, who are fighting at the top.

Still, I could see him falling out with the glaziers pretty fast.

I'd still have Rafa back. How many of his first choice targets did he get? I blame his downfall on H&G.. mostly. Imagine rafa winning the league and retiring ferguson, ramming it down the throats of xenophobes like Alladyce. Yeah, maybe I'm dreaming.

VanGaal could be a good shout.

Dare I say, David Moyes? Amazing he's kept Everton where they are on nothing.

I don't think Moyes would come due to being at Everton.

Rafa spents lots of money on mediocre players. I was glad he left he stayed a year too long imo.

However I do think he had a hard time under H&G and could take us to the top. Don't think he will come either.

We will probably end up with Allardyce!!!

If Rafa came back Paul Tomkins would pass out with the excitement, was never a huge rafa but some really good seasons but 1 title challenge in 6 season not great and people say hicks H+G to blame well fergie lost ronaldo and hardly got any of that money plus lost tevez and they still won leagues and got to CL finals and wenger keeps losing his top players yet arsenal always in top 4 and knockout stages of CL so Rafa can't behind H+G for his short comings by the way how come the clubs aren't touching him at the moemnt?

Don't want kenny to go just yet but if it was to happen the man I would love to see come in and that's brendan rodgers from swansea but he's young and would need time not fans jumping on his back after a few losses so maybe Liverpool isn't the club for him. But a great manager with fantastic philosophy of football swansea are one of the best footballing clubs in the league if not the best .

Right, and Dyer & Sinclair is a good pair of wingers for the price of about £ 800 a piece. Almost too good to be true.

Wicksy, van Gogh, you got there before me.

Given the football Swansea are playing right now (and all along under Rodgers) I'd happily see him at LFC tomorrow. It saddens me to say it but I think we'd be much nearer to where we want to be with Rodgers than we'll ever be with Dalglish.

Sadder still, I have a feeling other clubs will be tracking the contract negotations at the Liberty rather closely.

All good things come to an end. If I were running UTD, I'd look to Rodgers to replace Ferguson - immediately.

I don't know waht the odds are on Rodgers joining another, much bigger club by the end of 2012 but they must be getting shorter every day.

Definitely one for the future - with proven experience in the prem.

my god!!! it was this kind of talk which got us Hodgson. There was even a scramble for Owen Coyle as well when Roy was looking into the abyss.
we have a great manager and coaching staff who have won leagues and cups, why would we pass to a novice who has had 21gammes in the premiership????

bizarre!!!
