The Zaha thing has been going around for a long time. Possibly the answer when Kuyt moves on. Lots of clubs linked with him. About 6 months ago it was £5m but Palace have been a bit clever getting him to sign a long contract in the knowledge they can turn it into an auction. Everybody talking about £10m now. Very pacy and will cause trouble for a lot of teams.
I would guess we will be straight in for him if Palace get beat in the semi final. If Palace get through we could buy him and loan back but then he would not be able to play against us if we got to the final as well. From what I have read, we have looked at him quite intensly however the general consensus amongst the scouts and manager is that he is definately lacking the final touch or final ball and for that reason we have turned our atentions elsewhere. We would probably be better with Victor Moses then who has at least got Premier League experience. I understand your point about the final ball and the final touch as that was the problem with Babel. And Pennant. But we do need a winger who can play on the right and score a few goals. At the same time we don't need a right sided version of Downing, few assists and one cup goal for £18m. Even if they are English.

7 mil for Cahill is a complete steal when you think we paid 8 mil for Coates. Now i am not saying that Coates is no good or he'll not be a good buy in the future but seriously Bolton could have got 12 at least

If Bolton didn't sell him now he'd leave for free in the summer. Not a hope in hell they'd have got anywhere near £12m for him now. They were looking for something around that last summer and nobody was having it even then.

If Chelski think Cahill is going to stroll in and solve their defensive woes, personally I think they'll be sorely mistaken. Cahill is just decent. Overrated for me.

Zaha is only 19 but would get into our 1st team already I recon. Is he really that good? If he is, I guess it justifies Liverpool being linked with him.

He is just one of those players you don't want to play against. All ways running at people, tricky and works hard for the team. Not the finished article yet but still young. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LX8ZeW5_m5Y

young, and the fact he is English helps too!
Cahill is good, but with the system Chelsea play, i agree with comeonyoureds!! They play too high up and he is quick but not the quickest!
