rumour has it that Comolli, is still in London trying to sign a striker and the word on the street is he is trying to sign Dougie freeman on a 6 month deal.. cuzz his opta stats are high(when he use to play) and comolli likes stuff like that ie that is why he signed hendo, downing etc etc

Yeah, but seriously, who's gonna give up a quality striker? We'll need to buy one if anything, otherwise we'll just get a second rate player. Corroll is hot and cold enough, we can't afford someone who isn't better!

The only decent strikers that we might even 'potentially' be able to loan is Tevez, Defoe, and maybe Forlan. But that would be highly unprobable.

I'm hearing a lot more rumours about Torres looking for a return (think it was mentioned about too?) I won't believe it until I see it though. Even if that did happen, not sure how I'd feel about it.

i would welcome him back, i can see him scoring left right and centre

Yes Fernando Torres has had a transfer request rejected !

Reason are REPORTED TO BE !

He misses life in Liverpool

He missed his old team mates

His family can not settle and said he was forced out of Liverpool for money !


However other reasons are though to be

He wants to move back home

the player believes in doing this he will return to his best

I remember another article saying Torres was treated badly at Liverpool, and deserved more respect because he was a world cup and european cup winner.

we all make mistakes in life and i think torres thought the grass might be greener on the other side...but i still believe he was told to leave LFC, wen the 50m offer came in for him,
we will all no the real truth, one day.

i agree with suso, i also think if torres returned home...to Anfield, i think it will only take him 3/4 games to get his form back and start scoring, which will give us a better chance of getting a CL place, with him in the team, than without him.

problem is..... are chelsea willing to sell or loan torres, to us knowing that we are both fighting for a CL place.
if chelsea sign 1 or 2 strikers this month, they just might think loaning torres to us will make us weaker, cuzz he has struggled with them to score goals, he will do the same with us.

ie spending 20m+ on ie bent, i think it wud be better to try n get torres on loan, for 6 months, and spend 3/4 mill on his loan deal.

he did hand in a transfer request so i have a hard time believing he was forced out. but who knows...

And if he was forced out why would you wanna come back?
