going round in circles Faz. we dicussed this earlier this evening. i said then that we shoul've accepted this as an error on Suarez's part. The point is though that his use of the word was in spanish, therfore in a different context and in his mind intended no racial insult. No excuse perhaps but mitigating factors and perhaps a 2 to 4 game ban. (also bear in mind that Evra initially told everyone that the word used equated to N1gger)

please read our earlier posts.

yes i agree maybe 8 games is to much but sorry suarez is not innocent like liverpool supporters and sadly the club are making out , plus the hypocrisy is unbelievable no body wants suarez banned but are happy to see evra banned just because he is a manchester united player and i am only interested in getting our own house in order .

reduce suarez's ban to four games, ban evra for two and let that be the end of it. its just as embarrassing for the fa as it is for lfc at this stage.

Focus is blatantly winding people up, unless he's just a bitter, twisted (very bored) man. Just stop playing up to it.

Anyone with half the IQ of rooney knows the FA are making an example of him. It's a shame they have to destroy his reputation and help the tabloids do the same, but by not charging evra, they're showing positive discrimination, and racism to a south american.

All parties have stated saurez is not racist. So so called fans saying 'it's because he's out best player' or pretending to be digraced at LFC's backing of him, are surely just winding people up.

Sounds like he said negro once, possibly more. He obviously shouldn't have said it, but it's just a word, just a name. We're not in the 50's anymore, not in this country anyway so suggesting a player should be banned for life for calling a player a name, a vile, angry player who gave as good as he got, is as usual, taking us a few steps back in the quest for equality.

Problem now is, do we accept the ban and hope it fades away, or try and clear his name and risk dragging it out further. Unfortuantely he's now branded for life.

That would be fairer. The worst things about it are the tabloids e.g. RACIST headlines which the moron majority read, and that he gets banned more for saying a word in a heated exchange, than for purposely breaking a players leg and threatening his career.

Personally, it has nothing to do with who he plays for. I don't want Evra banned because he's an MUFC player, I want him banned because he alledgedly abused Saurez and we want to see equality.
