Well, Alex did hand in a transfer request, that is why they went out to get him. I just think Cahill is overrated, I really don't like him as a player that much. I think Chelsea's Ivanovic or Blackburn's Samba are much much better. I would be ecstatic if we got one of them 2, although I know that won't happen.

Think Ivanovic is a good player too, but still a little error prone.

On the whole defenders are cheap, we got Agger for 5.5 and Skrtel for 6million if I remember right. Also Enrique only cost 6mil although he was in the last year of his contract..

Overpriced? Originally, yes. But with his contract up at the end of the season, apparently the price agreed with Chelsea is £7m. He's definitely worth that, if you ask me. Very surprised nobody else has challenged Chelsea to sign him.

Completely agree, cannot see any truth in Arshavin rumours. Jelavic is being linked with clubs like QPR so I would hope were not interested in him...
