I said in in one or two posts a while back - Carroll and Suarez get in each other's way because there is not a clear enough definition of which one of them is to create the play. Both hang back, which means that quite often Suarez has to be a target man and Clumsy Carroll the playmaker. That's not necessarily their fault either, but rather that of the man who's sent them out there to apply his loose guidelines on poorly defined roles.
Even a fool can see it's not working, most understand it's not necessarily Carroll's fault (or that of any other specific player), but unless he's a threat he shouldn't be anywhere near the bench, and right now he's the joke of the EPL (and how the English press love to lambaste their own). Given that Suarez is going to be banned for both charges, we will be without a single capable striker until January, by which time it may be far too late to save either our season or Dalglish's job.
Sorry, King Kenny, I have a lot of respect for you, but it's become a fiasco and you need to start making the right choices. You're still better than Hodgson, but our standard of play has not improved in 6 months, and right now we can see that it's all starting to unravel. The pressure is causing the squad to implode. We have no recognized DM for our next few games. We could very well have no one capable of leading the line once Saurez attends his pair of hearings. Gerrard is still essentially AWOL. Carragher is over the hill. And that's before we get to the money spent for no improvement in our play, because we still pass it around like a team of strangers! (not that the money is as much as everyone claims, but it's looking pretty silly nonetheless)
In short one can look at the events this week and see the worrying signs that all is beginning to fall apart. Regardless of whether the FA intends us harm specifically, their charges could not be more perfectly timed. So King Kenny, the honeymoon is at an end, and you need to do some soul searching in order to prevent us from continuing to stumble from one mishap to another. Unless Maxi and Kuyt come to the rescue again we will be in a lot more poo come the transfer window, and you can bet FSG won't be quite so willing to spend this time.
I know a lot of this sounds like an over-reaction (and maybe part of it is), but we look as foolish right now as we did when Hodgson said beating Everton would be utopia. The press is loving it, and you sound like Wenger, who also never sees anything. Man up, fine Suarez for continuing to be a prat (because unless he wises up he will continue to get no "protection" from officials who see him and his strike partner hit the deck very nearly every time the ball comes near - so they're obviously diving, and Liverpool is therefore trying to cheat by inference), and instill some steel in this side.
