your doing it its quarter final stage one game before january and your dismissing it , if anything the F.A.Cup could do more damage to a league run than the league cup would

But I would rather take the F.A cup than the league cup.

yes i rather win the league ,the boat race ,the grand national everything , but we cut our cloth accordingly and there is a massive chance liverpool could go to wembley and win and liverpool supporters are picking and choosing , you would think liverpool go to cup finals every season and win cups every season .

I would also like us to play in Europe with the top teams in the world, and we can do that, we just need to get into Europe. A cup would be nice, however Europe is the priority.

Here's my tuppence worth.

This debate is pointless because the choice being offered is hypothetical. In reality there is no choice between one or the other. Here's why:

- league game against Chelsea: no doubt we'll play our full strength team and aim to win

- home to man city: ditto. No chance of us easing up here and rest players for the cup.

- so that leaves the Carling Cup game. If we won at home against city, we'll be really on a high and that should see a strong team through the carling Cup game. (with the next game not being til the following Monday)

- if we had a poor result against city, we'll be under pressure to get through to the next round in Carling Cup so that will force us to play a full strength team.

IMO therefeore, every which way you look at it, we'll be playing our strongets available team in each game. i.e. the answer is we're going for both - not one or the other.

+1 with mighty LFC

how about KD loses both matches /?

Personally Go for the two wins Easier said than done of course

Stupid debate really as its faced by all other clubs
Even the ones at the bottom Say for example Wolves or Blackburn or whoever. Do they go for the cup run or try at this early stage to climb out of the relegation zone? The answer is both everyone wants to win the cup but there are financial realities especially in the economic climate

Thats all very well but have you eaten one of those scouse pies at Anfield you know the cardboard ones microwaved at 1000 C. And retail for £2.60.

Thats real committment to the Club. I did it once in 1994.
