Suarez is a great striker and if you look at great strikers in their careers I bet almost all of them have taken twice as many bad shots as they have good ones. Thats just the nature of the striker. I agree about Downing though, he has been abismal and has been given a free ride all season.

I think maybe it's time to drop Downing to the bench - to give him a kick up the arse if nothing else. I don't think he's been doing as bad as some people on here make out, but he hasn't been setting the world on fire. He looks low on confidence. I think if Kenny starts with Bellamy or Maxi on the left and then maybe brings Downing on with 60-70 mins gone he might feel he has a point to prove. Absolutely agree mate. Think that would be an intelligent move.

downing has nt been great recently but i think he has to start if carroll starts. think bellamy deserves a start too and he get to the bi line and crosses more than hendo or kuyt.

Think I read somewhere that we've played Swansea 20 times in league fixtures and we've won 10, drew 6 and lost 4. This may not be exactly right, but its ball-parkish I think. I Don't expect these statistics to have a bearing on saturdays outcome, though I would favour a strong side as we tend to drop our standards against sides lower in the table. I think we should win it, but they are a pretty nippy outfit and not to be underestimated I feel.

If Andy and Luis continue to improve their partnership and bag a couple goals this could be a huge stepping stone for us. With all the chances we create, all the times we hit the post, we're due to score a truckload. A big win here could give a major confidence boost before Chelsea, which will be a vital game.

Would personally like downing to be on the bench and come on when opposition is a bit tired so he can go past people and build up his confidence. Hoping Andy and suarez continue to improve as a partnership, would like to go into xmas with a really settled front line.

Yeah I think Bellamy deserves to start over Downing, but other than that we should field the same team as last week. Downing and Kuyt should come on later in the game.

A spell on the bench may shake up Downing abit but i felt latley he and enrique are showing signs of understanding down that wing.needs more tho!
