I respect his achievements, but I think he's a horrible person when it comes to football. When I've seen interviews with him that are more relaxed, he comes across as alright, but when it comes to football, he's a pr*ck.
He's won tons of League titles (is it 12?) and 2 European Cups in 25 years.
Paisley won 6 League titles and 3 European Cups in 9 years. If Paisley had stayed in charge for an extra 16 years, how many titles would he have had?

to my shame my mother is a Manc fan :-( I can't kill her but I have threatened too :-)
As far as Alex goes, he did wonders at Aberdeen at the time and got them a Euro cup and many titles in the league and I respect his achievements at Man utd.
Yes he is a manipulative b*stard and is a fecking ogre of a man when it comes to refs and officials, but he does what he does for his club only.
I won't blame the man for that, but it is a huge milestone for a manager in todays game.
Like him or hate him, the old b*stard has done 25 years and deserves his golden watch and stand.

Like r not he is the best ever just as much for his aberdeen spell and one thing he does do he always bigs up r games against the mancs even though we have prob only being the title race 2/3 times in 20 yrs with the mancs, anyway enough of this we have enough problems at the moment

As difficult as it is for us, and as sick as I am with all the Fergie love in I still think as football fans he deserves our respect for what he has achieved. I for one would definitely miss old bacon face. Let's be adult about it and give him the praise he deserves. If United had some of our 'fans' he'd have been sacked after 10 games as it was they stood by him for 3 years before he came good. Will our whingers listen?...will they fu*k!
