i can't agree with ya EMP. infact i'll be surprised if he's even still at chelsea in 2 seasons time. he is no better than adam IMO...

i 100% agree but dalglish wanted adam so meireles left due to other players arriving and a breakdown in the club .

I think meireles was treated terribly, but I don't think he is that good- very lightweight as a player but technically gifted - and will do well in a team full of other superstars - good luck to him - torres on the other hand - who cares as long as he doesnt score against us good luck to him

Would of been a good squad player to have as we saw against Arsenal, he can have a positive impact but no more than that. Adam is well capable of replacing him and doing better.

No one knows whether he was told to hand in a request or not, this is just media guessing and unfortunately some people fall for the trick. There was a very good reason he left no doubt about that.

am not interested in what mereiles does, never really rated him whilst he was here ( yes he had a nice purple patch but that was about it) and dont really care how he does for chelsea. i dont wish him ill or well, i just have no interest in him at all

This is no good reason he left - other than in the club's incorrect opinion the likes of Spearing, Henderson and Adam are better players

All three of them (well not really Spearing) might well become better central midfield players than Raul but they are not there yet - and the only team that benefits from the club's bizarre decision to show him the door is Chelsea and it's no coincidence that he's strarted almost evetry game for them - before the likes of the more-heralded Lampard

Chelsea know a good player when they see one - even if we don't - and it's so predictable that everyone on here is now backtracking and saying he was sh*t anyway - which of course is completely different to what they were saying last term when he was one of the only bright spots of a pretty awful season

Why do you need to express such a nasty tone to your posts? people have their own opinion just as you do,it may differ to yours but try not be so blunt in asking for their reasons.No one knows the real reasons behind Raul leaving,and while our fans on here did support him as much as they seen fit when he was here now hes gone we are allowed to assess his departure and the effects without you trying to make out people are backtracking!
some of us dont miss him! that doesnt give you reason to insult people,you may miss him and think it was wrong to sell but just say it without insulting others veiws.
