I think he showed us how good a footballer he potentially can be when played in the middle. That's where his creativity, industry as well as goal scoring positioning is best and that's why he was so highly rated at sunderland.

I think he will give lucas a run for his money for the central role.

He can be one hell of a footballer in years to come. And if ever there's someone to replace Stevie G, hendo is right up there as one of the contenders.

Partly agree he is much better through the middle. He will never be as good as Gerrard though that is asking way too much.

He's only 20 and I believe stevie was just about as good during that age? If he can develop and mature the right way, why not?

Hasn't got the same wow factor as gerrard - even when he first started out gerrard he looked a bit special - thats difference between a legend and a top player. Liverpool have had plenty of top players like ronnie whelan, so it's possible- hope it doesnt take him 4 years to get it together though like lucas

Hands up was delighted to see hendo dropped for last couple of games but fair play he's no rw but a fine player in his preferred position. I suppose he needs to grab his chance no while Lucas suspended...maybe in future Lucas for tough top 6 sides hendo in supposedly easier games??

why is lucas suspended?

Personaly would rest eithier kuyt or Downing and play carroll and henderson for norwich, would be a good confidence boost both of them

Yeah he had too many yellows built up. Jut one game suspension.
