I'd agree with all of those picks except for Adam over Gerrard. I think Stevie could be ready to start after 3 sub appearances in the last 3 games.

Guess I'm being ultra cautious with SG, we need him for the long haul of the season and although it's a vital game for us, I think Adam can produce the goods for the first 60 mins. SG could then come on and tear the game apart as the Manure defence and midfield tire!

Or if Mancs are 1 or 2 up, why not take Lucas out and replace him with SG?

Then we should have enough creativity on the midfield to be able to produce some nice stuff the last 25 - 30 minutes!

bellamy on the left from the start is too attacking. if we could safely assume we would have most of the ball then it wouldn't be that bad. but we won't and utd will be playing nani on the right so enrique is gonna need help. bellamy should be someone who can come on and change a tight game.

Originally I thought I'd play Adam with Lucas and Gerrard instead of Kuyt, but Kuyt is our man for the big games and I really think that Gerrard can play the 'Alonso' position and I believe its best suited to him to dictate the game, which if I'm honest I think he will do. Also I'm not sure if Man U can handle a fully confident Suarez and a Semi confident Carroll. It's at home too remember.

i think we are good enough to win just depends on what ref ferguson chooses (more than likely webb ) and what time he books pen for

a win would be priceless, im very confident in kenny and the lads for this one, they just need to pull their weight in the right direction for 90mins then they can celebrate back to back 'derby' wins if you will.

Bellamy has a use as an impact sub but i'd start him in this game ahead of Downing (who after a promising start to his Liverpool career has struggled to involve himself in recent games)

We need someone quick and skilfull and who can forget his man-of-the-match performance in City's 4-3 loss when judas netted the winner in the 99th minute or whatever it was

One of our biggest problems under Rafa was that his rotation never seemed based on form.

Having dropped Jordan after a couple of annonymous performances, Kenny should do the same with Downing as we now have players more than capable of stepping in when those in the first 11 are struggling

How refreshing was it at the end of the derby to see Henderson coming on for Lucas - in other words, with Gerrard and Henderson in the centre - 2 attack-minded CMs. When was the last time we didn't have a defensive midfielder on the pitch? Don't get me wrong, I know it's called for, and i'm certainly not havign a dig at Lucas (i'd still have him in my team every week), but it was nice to see that mentality being shown, with so many attackers on the pitch.
