most disappointing player was downing. i was under the impression he likes to beat his man and get in a quality cross. didnt see him take and defenders on to night. if he plays like that we need to sub him and play bellamy

In all seriousness I still have my big doubts about Andy Carroll but you have to say last two games he is slowly getting better and contributing. He could hardly miss his goal but he created two decenty chances bedfore. So good show and three valuable points. I think we will beat Utd in a fortnight too

not if we play like today. we were poor. we need to have suarez/gerrard and downing to be on their top game

Never a red card, the ref was poor all game tbh. i thought carra, carroll and enrique were all very good, suarez was as bad as i've seen him, the fact that he got MOTM on sky is embarrassing. downing was awful did nothing all game. and again adam showed why we shouldn't have brought him. carroll and suarez starting to show a bit of a partnership developing.

overall; good performance, but we need gerrard in the middle if were gonna start really dominating games.
