U said liverpool cannot compete wid manutd , chelsea or city ryt? last year even though we had a horrible season we got a double over chelsea , beat utd 3 1 and beat city 3 0. Are u a liverpool fan or wat ??? u say we rnt a big club ??
Dont you think it's two different things beating a team in games and actualy doing better than them in the league, did'nt Everton do the double of City last season so does that mean they are the same. I think back in the 80's Liverpool were one of the biggest Clubs in the world and at the height of there powers, but since then we have fell into freefall and just rely on a past reputation. I think to be classed as a big Club you need money and power in todays game City and Chelsea have money which qualifies them and United, Barca and Madrid rely on recent success as well as money. Try looking at it this way, all top players want to play for the biggest and best Clubs, if Lionel Messi left Barca tomorrow how many Clubs would he sign for before he came to us, this is an indication of how the game has changed and how far we have drifted away from the Big Clubs. I dont get any satisfaction out of it like some on here suggest, I just feel I live more in the real world than most on here.
