I do think we would of stood a better chance of winning a league before the Man City Owners came in with DIC, Not now though it will never happen now as those Arab's look like they are in it for the long haul with all this new training facilities they are building at City. The worst thing is that I fully expect United to be bought out by the Qatar Royal Family withing the next 12-18 months which means we will never win it unless we get taken over by similar means, Roman Abramovic struggles to compete with that never mind dear Old John Henry who is still scratching round for money and cant decide if we should build a new Stadium or tart up the old one, depressing times ahead am afraid. Bit early for april fools aint it???? hah hah ha nobody beliieves you actually think our new owners who wiped clean 300 million debt from our club and then spent 100million on new signings and was recently added to the forbes top 100 billionaires list is how you put it "still scratching round for money" hah hah ha good one these owners are not oil rich arabs or russians , there businessmen and will want a return in there investments , they are not going to bank roll the team like the arabs or the russians and if you believe different you are deluded . If you honestly believe that Abramovich or the Arabs at city are bankrolling the club without expecting significant return, you my friend are not only mistaken, but foolish too. liverpools owners have not got the sort of funds like at city and abramovich has bank rolled chelsea and the arabs at city have done the same and if you think different then more fool you , look at man utd possible sale 1.6 billion liverpool sold for 300+ million but united city and chelsea get revenue from the stadium chelsea through high ticket prices and city and united from having a massive stadium in uniteds case and a newish stadium in citys case .

I know a bit about cities owners they are developing all around that area of Manchester with hotel and casino developments. They are chucking money at it and want a return but not an accounting return as John Henry. Our owners are small time it appears they would have moved before now if they had the money which they do not. And before anyones says they have invested £100m that is loose change to what is needed at LFC.

I think they have a plan, but like Mike Tyson once said everybody has a plan until they get hit in the mouth. The plan seems to add alot of talented young players and let them develope moving forward. However in football unlike Major Legue baseball these young players are not protected by contract in reality because contracts in football are so often broken and players bolt. I really believe naively or not that we would have went in for some better players but were turned away because we have no champions league football. I think Henry will advocate more signings in Jan to help strengthen our chances of a top 4 finish. If we get in the championsleague then maybe we will get that " world class signing".

i read somewhere a few months ago that d i c had made huge losses and were making significant cut backs.i doubt theyd of been like those at city...but you never know.isnt that guy at city d i c sheiks son in law..i think he is.
they did seem to fit lfc though.
i wonder always what it was the arabs saw in city and why they chose them.surely lfc was better option.
