fao stanley park, fcuking give carroll a run of games ie 10 and then judge the lad, do not hang him out to dry, without giving him a chance.
if u think carroll is a waste of money, wat do u think abt the torres fee 50m,, milner signed for 24m, lescott for 24m, kaka for 55m+ etc etc Hang on he must have played more than 10 games for us? All the players you list have talent you could argue about he fee but talent they have. Andy Carroll is unproven other than a short spell at Newcastle. But you are right and I will give him a chance but in the meantime I have an opinion if thats ok with you ?

Carroll is scoring about 1 goal every 5 games. That's the same rate as Heskey more or less, and heskey played over 200 games for us. I didn't think Heskey was good enough, and 11 m then was probably not far off 35m nowadays. I think Carroll will turn out to be betetr than Heskey Thats some inflation rate in 11 years mate

very true rafa - 11m and the prices have exploded since- shearerer was worth the 3.6m at the time though

I would put Heskey a lot better than you are ratng him amd certainly better than Carroll. Yes his finishing was not great (just ok) but his work rate was immense. Most of Owens goals were Heskey assists or space Emile created. I don't see that from Carroll.

carra didnt make any mistake but our defence was doggy....carroll played really well today...and suarez as always did really good....and the same old story played well in the first half and then faded in the second.....in the last 10mns suarez was subbed for gerrard which suarez wasnt happy abt..

Carroll did play well but from a low baseline.

all fans, shud be giving carroll the same support as saurez, sg, carra, reina etc etc get from all true reds fans.
Lucas was given a hard time for a couple of years by certain fans and now certain fans have accepted him because (i think ) of his work rate.
give carroll a year and see him develop into a monster of a striker, where goals will start flowing for him because he has the ability, the players around him to play to his strengths and a manager who has been their, done it as a player, manager.
