Look like a good option, but I have the felling it'll be:

--------------------REINA---------------------

KELLY-------CARRA----------SKRTEL------ENRIQUE

---------------ADAM--------LUCAS---------------

HENDERSON------------------------------DOWNING

---------------CARROLL-------SUAREZ-------------

Dalglish was the ONLY choice. A man who commands respect and adoration from his players, who saved our asses last season, who has led us on and off the pitch to league and cup glory, and who lives and breathes LFC should command a little more respect from you. Martinez would not be able to stand the pressure of running a club this size (just like Roy wasn't) and Villas Boas is too young.

Was surprised to see no Bellamy or Kuyt in the lineup. My opinion of the thinking behind that is that Carroll's playing centre forward, therefore we need the wide players who are gonna get quality aerial crosses in, as opposed to people like Bellamy and Kuyt who are more suited to dribbling, beating players, and keeping the ball on the deck.

Could prove to be a good decision, and hopefully it will. I'd like to see Andy get a goal or 2 today to shut some people up for a couple of weeks.

Also, glad to see Flanno on the bench ahead of Robbo. Not because I think he's a better player or deserves it more, but I think Kenny's learned his lesson after the Spurs game. Kelly's injury record speaks for itself and he's always liable to go off injured. Skrtel is a liability at RB, imo, and I never wanna see him played there again. Backup on the bench at RB is more important than LB.

How is bellamy not starting after his performance mid week? And Skrtel. Geez not sure about this. I hope KD is going to get a good performance out of Carroll!

There are 2 main types of system we can play as an attacking force, and the deciding factor on which one we play is whether or not Andy Carroll is in the lineup. If we go a goal or 2 up, I can see him changing the system in the second half and withdrawing Carroll to change the system and give Bellamy & Kuyt a runout. And hopefully Gerrard too.

Maxi's unfortunate to not make the bench, but if you look at the other players there, you can see why. It just goes to show the difference in the depth and quality of our squad in comparison to last season.

yea i see what you mean regarding bellamy and hendo.

hendo might have a better delivery on the ball and hopefully carroll will get at the end of those crosses. i just hope hendo shows a lot more today. personally i would have liked to see the pace and energy of bellamy. i think he would be able to create a lot of chances for carroll as well.

hopefully a positive performance today and most importantly 3 points. smile
