Winning is everything in Sport unless Liverpool Football Club's philosophy has now changed to just simply competing is successful for us as a football club, whats next in our honours list will it start saying Champions League appearance 2007-2008 e.t.c., Premier League runners up season 2009-2010, Carling Cup and F.A.Cup finalists or runners up season e.t.c., is this now what our football Club is about now, not winning a trophy but just playing in the competition or getting to a final, I used to laugh when Everton used to put all that in there football Programme honours list, and now listening to some of you, it's what we now are.

I don't disagree but football has changed most chairman of top clubs would pick champions league placing rather than FA cup never mind carling. Regrettable yes but thats the weay it is I am afraid.

well just watching LFCTV its just unbelievable when callers still come on and say liverpool can still win the league LOL just unbelievable !!!!

Totaly agree with you Stanley and football Club any Chairman wants Champions league ahead of everything, problem is we can only look at it from a supporters point of view and all we want is success and glory which means winning trophies. Now considering we as a football club can only have a chance of winning the two domestic cups each season thats all the more reason to make sure we go all out to win one of them if not two. I will be honest for the next 10 seasons at least, all we will have to look forward to is watching United and City share Premier League titles maybe Chelsea might win one or two, Champions league you are looking at the same teams along with Barca and Madrid, my only joy is going to come from us maybe winning a few Carling or F.A.Cups, think about what I am saying this is all we as Liverpool fans will have to look forward to if we are going to live in the real world.

I agree with are unlikely to win the title without something dramatic happening to the club.

But we could play in the champions league Jimmy please allow me that.

and we could win the league cup but that to some people means nothing winning cups !!!!

My main concern is that expectation will exceed reality. We were never going to win the title this year. The whole squad needed a major overhaul. Kenny has started this and has a lot more to do before we are the finished article. We may play brilliantly in some games and utter sh1te, like Sunday, in others. This is going to take time, at least a couple of seasons before we can realistically expect to challenge.

spot on i havent said anything different , its not me demanding 4th or before stoke the league not just on here but on the unbelievable LFCTV
