All managers should be subject to the same standards what matters is not legend status but sucess on the field. That the start and finish of it. If we now have have managers out of sentiment then we are a has been club. I am not saying that is the case with Dalglish (not yet) but many more horror shows like today and we may get to that postion.

im sorry people but to certain point i agree with FAZ. kenny as spent a fortune on players, more than i think any other manager as spent for us in such a shorter time and this team couldn't lace the 2005 CL team. you all seem to have missed what happened today. yes, we played poor and didnt start well but we were only 1 nil down at half time. we needed leadership, someone to grab the game by the balls and get are butts in gear but the players kenny as bought, there is'nt a leader amongst them. that midfield today could not share the same pitch as sissoko, alonso, mash and SG. and this midfield lineup cost a fraction of the price......

as for the moving forward thread. it's what we've been saying for years now and i cant see anything different from the last few regimes.. im pi55ed off, balled off, fed up and bored...

wish i had an answer!!!!!!!

I agree with you there, some classic comments of impending doom coming out. The fact is collectively it was a shocker, everything went wrong from start to finish and certainly hard where to start. I predicted a bumpy season and thats not changed. We are re-building a younger side and it occasionally will be painful. Nobody really rates Sktrel and Carroll was again very poor.

The players have a chance to respond next week against Brighton and Wolves, lets give the management and players the opportunity to put things right.Maybe when it is as bad as today there can be no excuses.

A big reality check though

Yes fair point and if we are going to have a horror show this is the time to have it not April or May. Just watched MOD and Alan Hansen (best buddy and neighbour of Dalglish) bottled it and left the analysis to Lee Dixon. It was not good Liverpool were all over the show tactically that was very worrying indeed. We can all have bad days but you need to know what you are doing thats basic.

Perhaps rather than blaming individual players some of which played well under Kenny last season, it maybe simply down to the fact that we are witnessing the failings that occur when you try and make wholseale changes to a team in the EPL?

I would take the team Kenny finished the season with and add Downing and Adam. Introduce a third player later in the season.

It would be interesting to know if anyone can recall a side who have actually done anything other than end in a similar mess from doing that which we have in replacing 6-7 players in one go?

It is starting to look like madness. It's either that, or every signing has been worse than last season and every player has lost their heads, which I don't feel it is?

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

"its not how you fall, it is how you get back up"

Well we have been falling for years now so about time the team stands up and fights.

We need to stop worrying about how to stop other teams playing, and we need to start playing to our strengths and let the others worry about us.

It was another bad day at the office and it happens but two defeats in a row now. We need to learn from it and take our revenge on Brighton and Wolves. This will be the test to see how good our squad is, if they are just rubbish games then i think our season will follow in that pattern unless we sign another suarez in january
