theres no way in the world coates will be starting,
thats just ridiculous to think kenny would throw him into that game hes barely even trained with the team.
i reckon he ll star carragher at right back if kelly and johnson are out with skrtel and agger in the middle.
i doubt coates will even be on the bench

Yeah, cos as we all know, Peter Crouch is all muscle. I think Agger is about the same size as Skrtel, and is more competent too. Putting Coates into a game like this for his debut would be suicide.

emp im guessing you want a back 4 of skrtel carra coates enrique ? or are you being completely silly and saying we should play 3 CBs (which sadly i think is a possibility). assuming my guess is right.... how on earth can you not play agger? he is our best CB my by miles, no... light-years just because he isn't 6.6" doesn't mean players of the quality of jones and crouch are gonna bully him, agger will out smart them get his positioning right. he has dominated drogba on more than 1 occasion, agger is one of our most important players if he is fit he starts just like pepe, suarez and lucas.

I think 3 CBs is possible and my money is on that formation for Stoke game, not saying its the one I would prefer but I think kenny will go with 3 CBS

Like the look of that snake. But I'd go:

Johnson...Skrtel...Carra....Agger...Enrique

...Kuyt......Lucas.......Adam......Downing...

...........................Suarez.............................

That way Johnson can move up and down the right freely, more like a winger, and Kuyt can move forward at times in the game. And Skrtel was good on the right, so he can cover Johnson when he makes his runs.

But preferably I'd go for:

Johnson.......Carra........Skrtel.........Enrique

Downing.......Lucas.......Adam.......Bellemy

......................Kuyt........Suarez..................

I don't think Johnson is match fit just yet, he just went back training this week and I have not heard any news about Kelly's hamstring so am assuming their both out but would be great to have one or both of them back.

We shouldn't play 3 cb's because that is playing into stokes hands and worrying about them to much . If we play a high tempo passing game they will not be able to cope I can't see johnson starting I think carra should start at rb with Coates and agger as cb's Enrique lb downing and Bellamy on the wings adam Lucas in the middle and Suarez and Carrol up top
