the way i have always seen it... torres went for £50m and with that cash we got suarez and carroll. not a bad swap if you ask me. ok £35m is a lot of money but newcastle did to us what we did to chelsea.

lets allow carroll to rack some starts under his belt and find some form this season before we go writing him off. look at edin dzeko at city last season... the lad couldn't hit a barn door and now he's p!ssing goals left right and centre. if i remember correctly peter crouch went through something very similar while he was settling in at the club and he became very prolific in the premiership and the champions league.

when carroll has actually played i don't think the players around him have played particularly well in terms of service either. its not like he misses many chances, he just hasn't had a great deal of them imo.

i think its about time people stopped worrying about money and actually started supporting their football club. get behind andy carroll and start backing the manager.

That may well be "how you see it" but it's not the case. We already had Suarez in the bag before Torres left.
And a lot of people keep saying that the £35m fee does't matter because we got £50m for Torres - sorry, but that's just some bullsh1t that Kenny(?) came up with to try and disguise the fact that we got robbed.
Carroll's value is whatever his talent/potential dictates and has nothing whatsoever to do with what we got for Torres. Put it another way, would you pay over the odds for a ford capri just because you got a good price for your BMW?

Absolutely correct Carhee.

Got to remember though, when chelsea signed torres and we signed carroll, we only asked for i think it was £15mil for torres and then asked chelsea to buy carroll for us, so actually chelsea got robbed not us.

I think some of the Carroll/Dalglish haters are getting a bit carried away with themselves.

REALITY CHECK: The season is 3 league games and 1 cup game old. Carroll has only played 3 games, and has a goal and a (wrongly) disallowed goal so far.

He is by NO means a flop. So give yourselves a slap across the face to try wake yourselves up from this pathetic daydream you're all living. Say what you will to defend your ludicrous claims - you're not Liverpool supporters in my book.

im tired of this carroll debate. for some reason there's people who always have to find a player to complain about. right now it's carroll....

only a few weeks ago it was hendo, he has one decent game and now his with every penny we paid for him. if carroll scores in the next three games the same people that are slugging him off will be saying his a great buy and the next BIG thing
