i would LOVE to see sterling and suso in the team. suso hasnt really got any chance of playing but i would like to see him play

Henderson, Carroll should start and come off after 45 mins....

Aquilani, PAcheco, Cole, et al should all start and try to prove themselves. Make no mistake that the focus is the league and that means keeping the first team fresh for the weekend games without any injuries or niggles during midweek.

I hope Wilson, Sterling, Wisdom, Cody, Ngog and Flanagan and Robinson get a chance.

would be crazy to play our subs like previous years. We have no european footie so should play our strongest team!

I agree with a few here that we need to take this game seriously and target this cup because its the most realistic chance of winning something this season. I would play at least half of the team that started against Arsenal as they are lacking fitness, so should be another game where they can raise their levels.

I would have Aqua in there as well but since he is not featuring in the team so far I guess he won't be here for long.

We need to take this seriously, we must progress and at least reach the semis. Would be nice experience for the lads and as I said before, it would be a great way to kick off this new era by winning this cup. Lets hope for the best.

I hope we take it seriously. I would have thought all the unused subs v Arsenal would start, so Doni, Skrtel, Flanagan & Maxi. We need a captain to maybe the greek. Cole will surely be involved, Aqualani looks like he is gone so I doubt he will be involved same with Ngog. Henderson probably won't start the next prem game so I'd put him in there and Adam for a bit of stability in midfield.

Last I heard Exeter are missing there top 3 strikers and have lost their last 3 games.

maybe we should take this cup seriously but that doesn't mean we have to take exeter too seriously we should be respectful and professional nothing more, sterling, wilson, robbo and flanno should all defo start

+1 for me, i want to see Maxi and Cole play to see how much they can contribute.

I know maxi had that amazing run of games at the end of the season but before that he looked rather average so keen to see if he can carry on that run of form.

As for Cole, we all know he needs to prove himself so no disrespect to Exeter but he should be running rings against them

No disrespect to Exeter but our focus is the league. The league cup is for our fringe players to get match fit and some other first teamers who are struggling with confidence like Henderson and Carroll.

No disrespect dasil but thats your focus. Kenny has hinted in an interview that he will try his best to win a cup whether its an fa or carling cup, but the carling cup is our most realistic chance. We must focus on every game that comes our way, whether its exeter or arsenal. We need to stop losing in the 3rd round to non league oposition and visit wembly for once. We need winning mentality and it can start with doing very well in this early competition.
