Agree with you on that House. Cahill is deadly at set pieces as well. Scores more as a defender than Carra do his entire career. Faster and not afraid to sacrifies his body when required. More like Terry. Its time to move Carra on the bench.

Afad and house you are deluded if you think someone of Cahill's limited ability will relegate our vice-captain to the bench. bigredkop is absolutely right, he does so much for the team!

I actually want us to sign him now just so you can see how wrong you are. Carra will start every league game he's fit for this season if we get cahill in.

oh i dont for one second think cahill will start ahead of carra (if we sign him). i do think he should though. i know carra is our vice-captain and a leader at the back but he has to go at some point and if we get cahill i think that point is now. cahill-agger makes perfect sense, they can form a partnership for years to come.

i agree that Carragher will start as long as he is fit but i dont think Carragher is a better player than Cahill. He is a better defender but Cahill is a more all rounded player which is what we need. Better with his feet, quicker, scores more goals, more of a threat in the penalty box.

But carragher is a legend and i will be happy for Cahill to learn from him what it means to play for this club.

carra aint getting any younger so if we did buy cahill we should start to use carra like we did with sami

I think we would use a combination of all three. Carra will need more of a rest now he's getting older and we can't always rely on Agger to be fit.

And I don't think we should be debating weather Carra is better or not. He has never been a great footballer but what he does bring you can't buy. I really think he would put everything on the line for LFC and he is also a great leader. IMO we are always better when Carra plays.

I agree. I think rotation is key here. Carra is getting older and had injuries last season and Agger (while brilliant) is always hurt. Proper rotation would help avoid that. If we got him that would give us 4 decent centre backs that bring very different things to the table.

He is and still will be an important part of the team. But he need to play fewer games this year.
