having seen both cattermole and spearing play as kids, and watching a lot of their progress through the years, i would have to say spearing is going to struggle to reach the level cattermole is at - potentially he is a much better player, but cattermole is getting regular first team football and the progress he has made since breaking into the boro first team is massive ..... unfortunately spearing is not getting first team footie and so is not making the same improvements ........ but given a run of games he can be a far better player

todays tabloids are saying Aquilani is scheduled for a return against sunderland. That would mean he is available for old trafford the week after that. This is what the club expect.

It says the LFC doctors are really confident his underlying problems have been sorted out, and Roma havent been doing a good job sorting out injuries

Aurelio may make a decent centre mid...and not forgetting we have Plessis, Spearing, Pachecho among others who can fill in as Centre Mid.

This Plessis kid reminds me too much of Salif Diao and Momo Sissoko, but hopefully will turn out MUCH better than either of those 2.

Lets hope he's available for the Sunderland game, and then he should be able to play against Lyon a couple of days later...A couple of games under his belt before the game against the scum would do him good...
But Rafa will probably start with Lucas-Masch against scum...

This is coming from the team that was never able to resolve Owen's injury problems, or Kewell's, and still can't resolve Aurelio's problems. I'm a bit sceptical of that.

Nobody could solve owens problems, lol.

Im not sure of the nature of Aqulani injuries, so i really cant say much about it. Re aurelio, i also dont know what he problems are, if he has recurring problems of same injury or different:)

Either way, i recall Aquilani saying that Roma didnt look after him the way he was supposed to.

I hate to be a 50 year old premiership player with aches and pains all over coming back to haunt you. yiike
