no. a marquee signing for me is someone that gets me excited so someone like mata or sanchez. cahill doesnt do it for me. not saying he wouldnt make us stronger but not a marquee signing for me

Let's be realistic. Kenny needs to sell before he can buy which drastically reduces the chances of us getting the type of player that some people are talking about. Furthermore, he nearly always buys british, which further reduces the chances.

All this talk of a marquis signing is rather sade.......

We could do much worse for a backup player. MUCH worse. For a period earlier this year he was one of our most consistent players and also is a goal threat. If he's happy to play a bit-part this season I'd be happy.
Who would you rather have as backup that would accept his role and wouldn't cost anything? (bear in mind we need to sell to buy so it would be foolish to sell someone decent in order to get buy a bench warmer)

i think i agree with you there.

Kyrgiakos has been, and always will be a liability in my opinion. I worry every time he is in the starting line up. I would rather give Danny Wilson more playing time in his natural position than play him. Ayala is back this year as well.

Also Martin Kelly is a natural centre back

Let's not be realistic, assume something is going on under the radar and one of Mata, Aguero or someone exciting will be in Liverpool colours before this window closes.

Not sure I'd consider Cahill a marquee signing. I feel its a marquee signing if it really fills you with significant excitement and if it shows a true statement of intent like, as you say, Mata would.

100% agree big stoto is a legend and he might not be no beckenbauer but he is 100% every game .
