Anyone who thinks a "marquee" signing is coming knows nothing about Kenny Dalglish or the way our club is run. That's not a criticism of anyone, just a fact to paint a clearer picture and help people avoid big disappointment when nothing materialises.

Unfortunately I'd have to agree, I can't see a 'marquee signing' happening.

As long as the squad is strengthened in those weak holes, we won't need a marquee signing

....especially as we have come out and stated that we need to sell in order to raise funds for new players. Effectively, IF we wanted a marquee signing, wed have to 'save up' for one! How embarrassing.

I don't think we need to 'save up'. The club just has to sell those players surplus to requirements in the near future to balance the books. I think Henry can give more cash to Kenny if they both think theres a great signing around the corner.

I think there is room for a Marquee signing, however it would be in an unexpected position, because everybody expects a marquee signing to be a swashbuckling striker or attacking midfielder, however we have a left back and center back position that needs filling, and Kenny may as well get a marquee signing there.

Like Lahm or Baines. Those will be a cracker of signings
