We don't see the training sessions. Did you ever think that if he didn't get picked much by 3 managers, there was maybe a reason for it? I'm hoping he makes a success of himself at Liverpool because the lad has talent, but i think he could benefit from a full season away on loan. I think he revelled in his loan spell at Norwich for a few months. Would love to see him back in a year with experience under his belt. so where do you see him fitting in, will it be in front of Luis 23 million pound Suarez or Andy 35 million pound Carroll.

Spearing played half a season, and started looking good in the defensive midfield role. Imagine him in 5 years with experience. Think he will just get better.
Spearing has impressed me a lot more than Shelvey. Haven't seen enough of Coady to judge.

It's easier to start a player in front of a player you dont really fancy which was the case with United, Ferguson is not a fan of Berbatov's play when I feel like attitude which was the main reason Hernandez was given the opportunity to start games, where he never looked back. If I was an owner and just bought a 35 million pound player for the manager who kept him on the bench in favour of a young kid from the reserves serious questions would be getting asked of the manager in the office. The only thing which got Fergie out of Jail is that United win leagues so the question will never be asked of him.

Hard to imagine that he achieved that with Fergie apparently 'not fancying him'? He seemed to only fall out of favour towards the end of the season, and for me, that was down to the unbelievable form of Hernandez. Which brings me back to my point of - if Dani Pacheco went on a run of form for Liverpool similar to that of Hernandez last season, then i think you might just see one of our lads on the bench every now and again.

Why was Young Kelly hooked for us from right back as soon as Glen Johnson was fit to play even though he was outstanding in his abscence, it's called football politics, no way can a 20 million pound full back recently signed sit on the bench instead of a promising kid who cost nothing. I tell you what, I will bet you anything 20 million pound Jordan Henderson plays more than local lad Jay Spearing who cost nothing which will prove my point.

I stand to be corrected on this, but what i thought happened was that Kelly was outstanding, kept his place, and Johnson was switched over to left back to fill that void and let Kelly continue in the team once Johnson was back. it wont prove your point if henderson is performing better. Exactly. That sort of thing may have happened under our last 3 managers, but i can't see it happening under Kenny. Kenny will play his starting 11 players on merit.

it wont prove your point if henderson is performing better. Exactly. That sort of thing may have happened under our last 3 managers, but i can't see it happening under Kenny. Kenny will play his starting 11 players on merit. Proof in the pudding: Cole not playing because Maxi was on fire despite Cole's astronomical wages. Although I guess Cole wasn't a Kenny signing.
