ike you said joe didnt have a good start and i cant really judge him yet,my feeling is he could do a job for us as squad player so will give him this season hope hes used well and does what those wages say he can.

Joe Cole plays stationary football. I can't believe how much he has back slided over the last few years. There's no doubt he has talent but we need to get him off the books to make way for the new breed of players. 90k sitting on the bench? That's llike keeping Cindy Crawford as a back up model in case Gisele slips on the runway

if we got him around 2005-06 complete diff player, past it now , should get rid fast

I believe that he signed a 4 year contract when he joined Liverpool FC last year on a free transfer. Since Steve Clarke had came out and say that Joe Cole have a future in Liverpool , my opinion is that he be given this coming season to at least show to us that last season was just a blip in his career. If he still is a bad player even after this upcoming season , then he should be sold as he still have a 2 year contract running and we should be able to get a transfer fee for him. For once , I would trust Steve Clarke as he is the only coaching staff to have monitored Cole ever since their days at Chelsea. So he knows best what kind of quality Cole can bring to the club. And if Cole fail , I believe Clarke will come out and say he failed. So will Kenny...

I have said time and time again that we need to keep Cole. He is a brilliant player who is just lacking confidence and was in bad form. Anyone who's seen last years europa league game against rabotnicki where he played in his prefered central role would remember that he done a fantastic job and I was just puzzled why they haven't tried him out there again. He is not good as a winger and when he does play I would like to see him given a chance in the middle. I think he will be very important for us this year.

The lad has kept his head down, impressed Kenny and Clarky in training along with his attitude. In pre-season he looks much fitter and in good spirits. Don't see him going anywhere to be honest.

Too many too quick to get on his back. He's a confidence player and hopefully he will be improving mentally throughout preseason.

I dont think anyone has seen enough of cole to make any asumptions on how hell turn out tbh, if kenny gives him enough games then we can judge, until then we have to wait and see,i feel he could do a squad job at least for us but again will he get the chance to prove himself!? who knows?

I'd really love cole to make it here, he seems like a really decent guy who has worked hard.
