My Verdict:
Defence needs strengthening! We are poor, Wilson, Kyriagkos and even Insua look very ordinary. Third goal was Insua's mistake he was no way to be seen on the left side when their player charged forward. Aquilani was a machine today and we MUST keep him even if he is to strengthen the bench. Imagine him and Meireles on the bench to choose from if Kenny picks Adam/Lucas ahead of them. Final point is Ngog, no matter how many goals he scores we must get rid of him. He is frustrating to watch can't pass, can't dribble, can't hold up the ball and is not even fast. Its only Malasyia I know but you have to take some great enthusiasm from our Barcelona like passing. Am very happy and this adds momentum.

thought he done well my self first game since early may , got in the attack had a good header saved done ok .

Aqua has been by a mile our best player in both pre season games imo
We should do our best to keep hold of him I missed todays game but it sounds like you missed Wednesdays' game....

positives... cole is looking a lot faster and sharper than he has in a while, kelly looks like he has got over a very bad hamstring injury, insua looked good going forward, aquilani had a very good game. negatives.... without carra we can't defend, even against very poor players, meireles and spearing were poor. comments.... carroll CAN'T play upfront on his own he far too slow and doesn't work hard enough, really looking forward to gerrard, johnson, downing, henderson and suarez to be back so we can have a bit of movement and pace in our team.

i think it was much easier in the second half when the malay team tired and there was more space , in the first half they worked harder and kept it very tight , so the calling of the first half team is a bit OTT , first game for miereles for 3 months he done ok made a few late run at least 2 not picked out by joe cole , got up in the attack and had a decent header saved , carroll needed a partner and needed to get fitter , but i thought the first half team done well , look at the second half ngog looked good but we know he isnt he is ordinary at best so take the second half display in context good work out but thats it .
