Hello. First thread attempt. Enjoyed the topics and discussions in this forum for years. I noticed the discussions here are very serious so might want to lighten up a bit. I was wondering with all these talk of overpriced players how would you evaluate the transfer fee of past stars of the Premier League if they are playing today and in their prime? A few that came to mind;

Robbie Fowler - 51 mil (+1 over Torres)
John Barnes - 40 mil easily
Ryan Giggs - 40 mil will buy you the right foot maybe
Ian Wright - Hmmm....25 mil sounds right. 30 if he ever learn to shut up
Ali Dia - About the price of a kebab in London. Or is it still overpriced?

Anyway, will be among the fans on July 16th to watch the team play. If you're wondering how Liverpool would play with the support of 90,000 thousand fans, you'll see.

Hi beb welcome to koptalk. Great post!

I wonder hwo much you'd get for the likes of Rush, Hansen and Souness nowadays?

Barnes I would value at £80m. He was better than Ronaldo by a mile.

I agree with Stanley Park, Barnes was better than Ronaldo, so he'd have to be rated very highly haha.
Fowler - 40M
Jamie Redknapp - 25M
Steve McManaman - 30M
Stan Collymore - 20M
Didi Hammann - 15M
Sami Hyypia - 10M
Jerzy Dudek - 8M

My valuations are probably way off, take them as you will. smile
