I don't think Insua is a terrible player at all. The biggest problem with him for me is his lack of pace. He's terribly slow, and gets caught out for pace far too much

I admit it's a major flaw, and i don't want him at Anfield next year if i'm honest. He's decent enough getting forward, and capable of putting in decent crosses. Yeah, his lack of pace is a big deal, but i don't think it automatically makes him a 'terrible' player. I think that's slightly harsh on the lad. Having said that, i don't see him as being LFC standard.

Simply put, Glen Johnson is probably going to be our first choice LB, and as Martin Kelly rightfully earned his RB place in the side. whats wrong with using Insua, Robinson and Aurelio as back-ups Any of these players are good enough as a backup surely?
Its the same position for right back with Kelly first choice with Flanno, possibly even Degen staying as backup? and Johnson to come back across if really needed?
IMO i dont think LB is a massive worry really i can see what your saying mate but in my opinion i think glen will return to RB and i think im right in saying kelly as spent more time as CB than a RB during his youth. maybe he will get a run there this season, id love to see him gave a chance at CB.... i think we need a LB but only if it's going to be a very good one...
dont be an hater, take the banter!

Yes , we do need a Left Back but not a long term Left Back. All of us Liverpool fan knows that Liverpool do have a very good player with potential in Jack Robinson for the Left Back position. So I believe a player who can give at least 3 years of top flight football is needed while Robinson mature into a first team player in Liverpool. So players in the age of 27 - 29 is one of the most suitable for this position. Stephen Warnock is my choice for the Left Back position. He understands te club and not new to the city. So I believe he can come in and hit the ground running.

I don't want to buy previous players, Warnock is okay nothing special but going back on him seems like a backward step. Lets move forward and bring in someone more fresh like Baines.

Snakeye , I would love Baines donning Liverpool's colours. He is a Liverpool's fan. He is one of England's best left back. He ticks all the boxes in John Henry criteria in a player. And his signing would please most Liverpool fan. But we must be realistic. Baines is playing for Everton now. Liverpool's city rival. Would Everton ever sell to Liverpool at this moment especially Baines is one of their top performer in the last couple of season? I believe that if they were to sell him for financial reason , it would never be to Liverpool. Instead they will sell him to teams like Arsenal who are also in need of a Left Back. I'm not trying to dampen your hope on Baines but realistically it is more in the direction of IMPOSSIBLE than POSSIBLE. Unless something drastic can be done.
Regarding Stephen Warnock , I agree with you that he is ok but one thing if he do sign for us is that he will not feel out of place in the Liverpool set up. He knows nearly everything about Liverpool and I believe he looks up to King Kenny as he knows that King Kenny is a Liverpool legend. But I respect your opinion on that. Just one thing that I would like you to hear my opinion is regarding buying ex-players. It is certainly not a backward step in my opinion. Example is Ian Rush and Robbie Fowler. They came back and did their job like we knew they were before they left the first time. So not all ex-players can be a backward steps. If they can do a good job , then it is worth considering.
