rubbish - pacheco needs games not more crap about stuff he needs to improve! every player has things they need to improve - no one is perfect but this lad needs a run, as does spearing and kelly
the chavs have a sugar daddy who went out and spent billions strengthening their squad with superstars
man ure have also been able to buy but still they have the two brazilian full backs, fletcher etc all come through their youth ranks - in fact you can go on about the players that have come through there as a good percentage of their squad has ........ the reason their youth is so successful is because they give their kids a chance ..... they aren't more successful than us in the youth competitions so our kids can't be inferior to theirs, so why are theirs coming through and not ours??? why do we not have a welbeck that clubs are desperately trying to get on loan?? or a campbell that we can sell for a decent amount of money? simple because ours sit in the reserves and never get a chance in the first team

Completely agree Trepie.... But the decisions to not let the kids start games rest with one man, and on man only. He must change his childish and blinkered ways soon, or just leave.
The last manager to allow our youth a chance was Souness....

Personally, and I hope this happens, this may be the season where the youths will get a chance to step up to the plate.
Not sure if I'm correct, but was El Zhar also a product of the youth team who graduated to the 1st team?
By the next season, I would have expected to see more of Nemeth (back from loan), Spearing, Pacheco, Daniel Ayala, Damien Plessis, and Stephen Darby.
These kids need to be given a chance somehow.....

Oh and I think Ngog may be a better prospect than Babel!
He has some nice touches and has probably more than meets then eye!
Anyone else thinks likewise?

Insua's statrted every game this season ahead of dossena who's been on the bench so he obviously trusts him more than dossena. Damien plessis got a run in the team a couple of years ago when he was in form for the reserves and nabir el zhar played a few games toward the back end of last season. These days the stakes are so high you've always got to pick your strongest team when possible. When was the last time a youngster broke into the chelski or manure team, not just rafa who doesn't play them, its just the way the game is going. I'm sure rafa and his backroom staff who spend every day training with these lads have a better idea of when there ready than yuyou do, you've seen pachecio play a few friendy games, yeah his touch looks good but there's obviously over aspect of his game he needs to improve before he's ready for first team. This is a well balanced and informed statement by a fan who knows his team, and his game. What i like about this anaylsis is the fact that MCKOP did not let the dislike/hatred for Rafa cloud his ability to make a adequate assesment of a situation. This is a great post in my opinion. Not biased, not onesided, he looks at things from all angles.

Ngog has a good ratio of goal per game and looks better than Babel when he comes on. Darby is not going to get into the team ahead of Johnson. Pacecho looks good on the ball and will probbaly play in the carling cup. Hope Nemeth comes back stronger and hungrier than ever-he is a natural finisher. Ayala is still a bit nervous when he has the ball but did alright for us against Stoke I would play Spearing ahead of Lucas for most games.

how is it balanced and informed when you claim united have not had any youngsters break through recently - johnny evans, rafael and his twin brother, macheda and welbeck are 5 players that broke through in the last 2 seasons for a starter!
