I understand what your saying to a cerain extent av but think your being slightly harsh on Wickham. He's not exactly playing in a good Ipswich team who havent created many chances for the lad to feed on.
Wickham was just an example. I'm more pointing out that we lost such a good left back for 6 mils. I'm normally a lot more optimistic, but I just can't see us getting a left back of that quality for that price again in this window.
Don't mean to be harsh on Wickham, he has a lot of potential. He is overpriced though, and he's proven nothing in the championship that would justify his price. It's just all expectation that has raised his price. Sure He's 18, but he could end out being the next Jeffers.
