I dunno how people would put Lucas as a backup, Unless Agger returns to full health AND can last, our distribution out of the back is lackadaisical at best, hooftastic at worse. Lucas is the main outlet for calming down the ball distribution usually, especially in the big games (chelski 1-0). Hollywood long balls are cool and all that but an efficient water carrier is hands down more important. You cant do crap without a good base.

reason i have lucas as backup is im only playing 2 CM and Raul and Gerrard are better than him

for what it's worth, if lucas is a regular starter for us then that's a mistake. he had a great season as a DM and it can't be underestimated how hard that must have been for him. he was sitting in front of a defence which rarely was settled due to long term injuries to carra, johnno, and agger being stop start as always and the fact that we didn't have a regular lb all season. to play as well as he did made it all the more hard. his name is one of the first i'd have on the team sheet. and dare i say it, eh p**ses all over mascherano imho. there, i said it!

Yeah great, another exit in the fourth round and we'll be sitting ducks for 2-3 weeks waiting for the league games to return while stoke and birmingham play in the semis. F*ck that, Kenny will play his full strength team for all competitions, time to fckn stop underating these competitions, we want to win some silverware for fcks sake for once, team can be rotated a bit but to play those robots in those leagues, we will get smacked 3-4 nil. End of my rant.

Free flowing energetic attacking football at pace... easy!

I was against getting Adam but i do know think he could provide us with other attacking options, especially picking out a pass. I like Lucas and Spearing and think they done well this season but Adam is better at passing the ball forward where they seem to pass it sideways. This is our issue when playing against teams who like to park the bus in front of their goal.
