time will tell i guess. hopefully things are in advanced stages behind the scenes. with kenny stating he'd be happy to take aqua back so that he holds his transfer value we could have shot ourselves in the foot by signing a central midfield player in henderson. especially with aqua pulling out of the italy squad after an injury.
i'd take another loan deal for aqua as a last resort. as long as he's off the books he's as good as gone and i think we still owe money for him in appearances?
he did look good at times towards the end of last season for liverpool. but i just don't think he's suited for the prem and we should just get rid while he's had a general injury free season.

Gotta agree mate, He seems to be on his way to another club, whether Juve or another club but certainly leaving. With Hendersen, Adam coming in I think we don't need him anymore.

I dunno about the need or not need part. Aqua's range is absolute class. More than anyone we have. Adam has the range but not nearly as consistent. Read some article on Aqua's first run of games for Juve he was 90%+ and not all 5 yarders but expansive aggressive passing all over the field. Watched juve games this year to follow his progress and was impressed by how he moves the ball.
Though I don't think he is coming back, I don't think his skill set is matched by anyone we have.

That is true to some extend but you have to remember its a different league. I liked him and I would take him back to strengthen our squad but it seems less likely at the moment with us potentially signing these players. His agent also confirmed he wants to stay in Italy so that might displease the club as well.

yea i think italy is the place where he should play his football. theres not too many italian players who make it in the premiership. he does have the ability, he got like what? 5 assists in 3 games at the end of his last season for us. but i've seen him go in half hearted in tackles and he doesn't offer much for the physical side of the prem. i think signing an injured italian player for that price will be one of the worst big money transfer in premiership history and its about time we swallowed our pride.

Honestly if we let Aqua go for 12 mill or less and sign henderson for 20 and adam for 10 we are a joke. Aqua is more skilfull than both of those players.

The last thing we need is him going on loan, running out another year of his contract and thus reducing his resale value. Use him or sell him - end of.

Why sign for an english club then? his agent is simply trying to force our hand into a deal as we wouldn't him back if he'd prefer to be elsewhere.
