Would love to see Mata signed by us he's both young and talented, however not too sure if we can pull this off, Valencia are obviously going to accept the highest offer made and if Man City are in the equation I don't think we can compete.

Don't know a huge amount about him but from what I've seen he would be a very good signing

Silva is better, but Mata isn't that far from him. Mata would be a upgrade to our squad in the highest order, forgetting how he compares to Silva.

Silva is the more accomplished passer, much like Iniesta to me . He was flared to the left i think in euro 2008 but is more at home as a central attacking mid. Mata is considerably faster, more flair + tricks like Suarez is. They are not really alike to me as much

As long as he keeps his ass to the left touchline, sick of players wanting to play in the centre.

2 completley different players, Silva is more or a play maker lacking physical properties kind of like Zidane except he had strenght.

Mata is a natural winger but because of his overall ability being so well i.e passing and work rate he can play or is mistakenly belived to be an attacking midfielder/winger too. It's kind of like saying Gerrard is a striker for those years he played up top with Torres despite him having the best attributes for cm, but because he was so good at passing and shooting and finishing he was called a striker/midfielder sometimes.

Tbh in this league I'm not even sure if Silva would be better than Mata currently because Mata probably has the better physicality to suit the league than Silva who still drifts in and out of games, and playing out wide limits the physicality he'll recive than playing in cm.

Upcoming world class players IMO for 2014 WORLD CUP:
K-P Boateng, Gotze, Sturridge, Kroos, Lucas Leiva, Hummels, Kyriakos Papadopoulos,

He will drift Snake, Mata and Suarez move much alike from angles and from all sides. That's reason he is such a good fit. We don't need someone predictable, make the defense defend ALL the spaces. And unlike our current batch of squaddies and fatties(i mean you JC), he has speed to burn thus can break outside if needed.

just hoping he is a serious target

Desh, that's nonsense mate, I watch La liga a lot and firstly they are not very different players, they are massively similar. 2ndly mata is not an out and out winger by any stretch of the imagination. He comes inside a lot, drifts into the middle with ther players drifting wide. Most of his assists don't come from crosses as you would expect with an out and out winger. He is a very gifted player who likes drifting inside and picking out those cheeky little lobbed balls over the top and pin point passes just like silva. He does have the attributes to have more typical wing play to his game than silva though.

He would compliment suarez very well but less so Carroll.
