how is barton a creative midfielder? he isn't even half as creative as meireles or gerrard. we don't need a CM unless we can find a world-class one

i know you like to act all outspoken but go and watch a newcastle match from earlier in the season. then tell me he doesn't create goals. toon's best player this year

i know barton had a bit of a good season playing from the right he is a pretty good crosser of the ball and he had andy the meat ball 'ed carroll to cross to and he would have that at us. but seriously joey barton is another mediocre player who should be nowhere near our team. and he isn't a creative midfielder

well he created more goals than anyone in our side this season. twice as many. i agree there should be better options around. but i do rate him

I couldn't fit all the names into one post that I could 'realistically expect' signing for us despite a lack of European football yet are significantly better than joey barton.

i'm not someone who cares about silly statistics but i would guess more than half of his assists where crosses to carroll so to me he isn't a creative midfielder just as i said a good crosser. i don't rate him at all really he should just stay where he is. also when talking about signing players you have to take into account if they'd be first choice at us and barton wouldn't so his form would naturally dip because of that. all in all i'd say, he's an average player and should stay at his average team

no! thats what i want more than anything but to have barton on the right is a step backwards we need real wingers and we don't need a CM. hence my dislikening of this rumour
