he seems very hit and miss finds some great players and some average as well

Any man who signs players that become regulars at their club more than 50% of the time is doing well. The list above shows that he has signed some big talents, so as long as he hasn't signed another 30 or 40 players who are complete rubbish over the same period he's doing ok.

So far with Liverpool he's signed 2 starting players out of 2.

All those players you mentioned are all good buys imo, you have to think of how good Spurs were at the time he was there, outside top 5 and in relagation. So those players all mentioned are on the cusp of being world class or good squad players or money making buys for resale.

The players you didn't mention are Gilberto the old Brazilan lb,
Ricardo Rocha, Mido, Cesar Sanchez old gk who was once good but rubbish now.

Me personaly I'm extremly happy he's here, can act as balance between owners and manager, manager gets final say, and he's in charge of all scouting and negotiating which is tiring work which a manager shouldn't need to do.
With Parry we had a rubbish negotiator who didn't follow managers instructions on who to buy, with Rafa we had no balance between owners and manager. So this is ideal.

From that basis thank god FSG only want young player because majority of players he's bought aged 29 or older have been horific.

I like him, and belive he will bring in quality players... For me personally i think he should bring in talent from abroad.

He got Suarez and hes absolute dynamite, andys ok but he needs time to get back to full fitness he should knock the U21 on the head and just think about getting fit for next year!

With names being kicked out like MATA, AGUERO, HAZARD there the names that get me really excited when you start naming people like Young & Parker dont get me wrong great player but i think we could go bigger (Pending £/€)

i like this guy,its easier to make signings for our club.with him there,we wont be looking at average players but world class players.last january at the transfer deadline,who would have thought that we could bring in carroll??he did a great job getting suarez as well.i'm looking forward to see what he's going to bring us in the summer.

you make a good point it will be alot easier to sign players here we have more money then spurs did at the time.

just eboue gomes and bentley aint the best buys then again eboue has already given us a point this year :P

too many cooks spoil the broth if your gonna go down that road lol
